JOIN OUR 2025-2026 CORE TEAM!
Bollywood Signature’s Senior Core Team is a dynamic, year-round dance training program designed for passionate adult dancers looking to refine their skills and take their performances to the next level. This program provides comprehensive training in technique, conditioning, and choreography while also focusing on stage presence, expression, and endurance to ensure dancers are performance-ready.

As a dedicated performing team, members have the opportunity to showcase their talent at a variety of events, including high-energy public performances, exclusive private functions, and other exciting dance-related opportunities. Whether performing at cultural festivals, corporate events, weddings, or community celebrations, the Senior Core Team represents Bollywood Signature with vibrancy, skill, and a deep love
for dance.
AUDITION PROCESS
For those interested in auditioning, you will be required to watch and learn a piece of choreography via a YouTube tutorial. You will record and submit the video to us!

1. Learn the following choreography: Bhoom Padi (watch first 55 minutes).
2. Learn the piece to the best of your ability, record it, have fun, and submit it through WeTransfer to bollysign@gmail.com.

Video submissions will be accepted until 5pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2025.
You will hear back from us by Saturday, June 7, 2025.
If selected, classes will begin Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at UniverSoul Dance Studios. All classes for the semester will be held from 6-8pm MST.

CLASS INFORMATION
Who: Ages 16+
What: Professional dance training with a primary focus on regular dance classes and rehearsals, dance technique, and conditioning.
​
Certain conditions apply to being eligible for paid performances.
​
When: 6-8pm MST on Wednesdays at UniverSoul Dance Studios. The first half hour is dedicated to warming up/stretching/refining movements. Second part of class will focus on choreography with styles such as Bollywood, Semi-Classical, Jazz, HipHop, and many more!​

Where: Hybrid Delivery
Online delivery for all students outside of Calgary.
In-person delivery for all students in Calgary.

Why: To allow dancers the opportunity to enhance performance skills and build their performance portfolio.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR JOINNG THE PERFORMING TEAM
To be considered for a position on the performing team, dancers on the core
team must meet the following criteria:

1. Age Requirement: Dancers must be 18 years of age or older.
​
2. Transportation: Dancers must be able to drive themselves to rehearsals
and performances.
​
3. Skills and Performance: Dancers must meet the technical dance
requirements and performance standards as determined by the co-directors' discretion.

When do the Senior Core Team rehearsals take place?
Bollywood Signature's Senior Core Team rehearses every Wednesday from 6:00–8:00 PM, running from early September to the end of April.

What can dancers expect from a typical Senior Core Team rehearsal?
Senior Core Team rehearsals begin with a 30-minute session dedicated to warm-ups, stretching, and refining movement technique. The remainder of the rehearsal focuses on choreography, exploring a dynamic mix of styles, including Bollywood, semi-classical, jazz, hip-hop, Bhangra, Soca, and more.
